About Me
Hello, my name is Luis Chacón and I am from San Cristóbal, capital city of Estado Táchira, in the southwestern part of Venezuela (-4:30 UTC).
I graduated as Computer Science Engineer at the UNET in 2004. Despite I built my first Web page in 1998, I started to work as a professional Web developer at the beginning of 2005.
I worked in P&C Consultores, C. A. and its international partners Avviato, Inc. and then Caniatech for 5 years. Along this period, I used multiple technologies such as Java, PHP, .NET, ColdFusion among others; I led a development team under Extreme Programming practices and was partner on Caniatech
Services
My core service is to develop small to mid-size Web applications from Design to Maintenance. However, you can hire me on hourly basis to participate in any of the phases of a Web project. I am willing to collaborate with you or your team to create outstanding Web products.
Web design: Although I am not a Graphic Designer, I have developed Web Design Skills along my professional life. I can do modern, usable and feasible Web designs (including mobile devices) and then model them to XHTML/CSS.
Programming: I have seen myself doing roles as a Frontend and Backend-developer. I can develop Web pages, Web sites, and Web applications as well as create W3C-compliant templates (XHTML, Email campaigns, Joomla).
